This series has a slightly arched keel-line which gives the canoe just the right amount of rocker for general river tripping. Its generous beam (or width) provides incredible stability without sacrificing performance.

The 611 which is 2.5? shorter than the 811 is slightly less stable, very maneuverable and has a substantially decreased amount of hauling capacity. Although it would paddle well with two people, for long trips it would be more practical as a single. The 811 which is 16.5? in length is by far our best selling model. It is the only model we carry in the rental fleet. The reason for this models popularity is its stability and carrying capacity. When renting a canoe to someone for a two week remote trip, stability is our first concern. Our clients appreciate its 835 lbs carrying capacity and 37.5 lbs weight. The 711 which is 1.5? longer than the 811 is even more stable. Its added length provides more room and more hauling capacity. But the added length does have a minor impact on the canoes maneuverability. Since this canoe only has an 85 lb increase in carry capacity over the 811, it would only be a choice for its extra volume or stability.
